Frequently asked questions
Vinyl or chain link, which should I get?
Chain link if you want the cheapest reliable fence, want to see
through the yard, or have pets and large lots. Vinyl if you want
privacy, no maintenance, and the best resale look. Many homes mix
both: vinyl in front, chain link in back.
How long does a vinyl fence last in Utah?
Twenty-five to thirty-five years with quality UV-stabilized PVC and
steel-reinforced rails. Utah sun is intense, so we install
industrial-grade vinyl rated for high UV exposure.
Do I need a permit?
Most Utah cities require a permit for fences over six feet, and many
require it for any fence in a front-yard setback. We confirm
requirements with your city planning office before quoting.
How long does install take?
A standard chain link yard takes one to two days. Vinyl runs two to
four days because concrete footings need cure time before we hang
panels.
Can you fix or extend an existing fence?
Yes. We replace damaged panels, reset leaning posts, retension chain
link, and tie new sections into existing runs.
What about HOA approval?
We will give you a written quote and material spec you can submit to
your HOA. We have built fences that match common HOA color and
height rules across Davis and Weber counties.
